N/M, 8 Years, Black Labrador Mix, Approx. 50 lbs.
Hello! I look a bit scared in this photo, but I just didn't know what to make of that camera! I'm a GOOD BOY who was given up by my previous owners after 8 years. That's rough on a sensitive guy like me! I'm a very quiet and slightly shy kind of fellow, but I'm starting to warm up quickly because of all the great love and attention I'm receiving here
at the shelter! The staff treats me to good foods, plenty of toys, and comfy blankets for naps and bedtime. The wonderful volunteers walk me daily, and comment about what a nice gentleman I am. It's true! I'm not very confident right now; seems I've spend a good portion of my life either kenneled indoors or chained outside. That's no kind of life for
a dog! I need to meet new folks, go on exciting walks and adventures, and see all the great things this world has to offer! Goodness knows I'm overdue! I'm house-broken, and very much enjoy the company of all kinds of folks, including well-mannered older children. (Smaller ones may scare me a bit right now.)
I love doggie bones, and squeaky toys are my favorite! I do well with other nice dogs, and cats seem to be okay as well! (I have great reverence for them, so I leave them be.) Ask if you can meet me! I'm really worth your time, and the shelter has more information about me if you're interested. I'm also available for foster care! As a foster dog all of my medical needs (should they arise) will be covered by MaxFund. Interested? Please contact Anne at fosters@maxfundvolunteers.org
