Picture this scenario. A wife makes a turkey sandwich every day for her husband. He never mentions he doesn't like turkey and every day grudgingly chokes down the turkey sandwich. His wife never knows he doesn't like turkey sandwiches and goes on making turkey sandwiches every day. The husband holds his comments inside, not wanting to offend or insult, but deep down, hates eating those turkey sandwiches. All it would take would be to let his wife know that he doesn't like turkey sandwiches and would prefer a ham sandwich - or no sandwich at all! If only he made that suggestion...
